Secure file share

For the most secure upload to Capital Captions, we use a dedicated Dropbox account, where our clients can upload sensitive files securely to us via our website.

Many of our video clients choose to share files via their own preferred methods, including using FTP sites such as WeTransfer or Dropbox. Files can also be shared directly from social media sharing sites and/or video sharing sites including Vimeo or YouTube that require the use of a password. We are able to password protect audio files, video files and documents prior to sharing, to ensure full confidentiality and security. 

Data protection

Capital Captions are registered under the Data Protection Act and are GDPR compliant. We do not share any client information with third parties without prior written consent from our clients. We also remove all copies of files from our systems after two months of completion of work unless otherwise requested by our clients.

Client Confidentiality Agreements

In order to maintain the highest standards of work, with the fastest turnaround times, we contract with a number of transcriptionists, translators and subtitlers across the globe. In order to keep video and audio data safe, all of our freelance contractors are required to sign confidentiality agreements prior to taking on work with us. The confidentiality agreement ensures no file information, document information or client information is shared with any external parties when taking on work. Files are shared with contractors via password protected links via our secure Dropbox account.

In addition, our confidentiality agreement ensures client details are kept anonymous and not disclosed with our contractors or indeed, any other third parties without prior consent of our clients.
